Impartiality
aBEErate is committed to the principles of impartiality – this means “the actual or perceived presence of objectivity which means conflicts of interest do not exist or are resolved”.
aBEErate will NOT provide any other services, which could compromise confidentiality, objectivity or impartiality.
All employees on acceptance of employment, signs a Contract of Employment which includes an Impartiality clause to minimise the risk of impartiality.
aBEErate and related bodies will never be marketed together and nothing will be stated anywhere that gives the impression that aBEErate and the body are linked in any way.
Nothing should be said by a consultancy body or the linked organisation that implies that verification would be simpler, faster or less expensive if aBEErate is used. aBEErate shall not state or imply that BEE Verification would be simpler, faster or less expensive if a specified consultancy is used.
With the acceptance of any measured entity to be verified, a Declaration is distributed to all staff to establish if any relationship exists prior to accepting the measured entity. If there is any relationship, the executive committee will evaluate if the relationship poses any conflict of interest and if aBEErate will be able to verify the measured entity without any risk to impartiality.
