Confidentiality
aBEErate may acquire sensitive information concerning THE CLIENT’S business or affairs in the course of delivering the Verification Services.
Top management will safeguard the confidentiality of privileged information obtained or created during performance of verification activities to access the BEE Verification Result adequately. aBEErate may disclose a measured entity’s actual verification result, without compromising the confidentiality of the information supporting the certificate and report.
The executive committee will inform the verified measured entity, in advance, of the information it intends to place in the public domain. All other information, except for information that is made publicly available by the client, shall be considered proprietary and regarded as confidential.
All information will be treated as confidential, to ensure that aBEErate complies with this procedure. The following legal enforceable documents are signed before acceptance of a measured entity and before employing staff.

Service Level Agreement which includes a confidentiality clause

Employment Contract which includes a confidentiality clause.

Service providers (e.g. technicians, reps etc.) entering the offices of aBEErate will sign a Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement to ensure that confidentiality is not compromised in any way.
Employing staff as Top Management, Verification Managers and Senior Verification Analysts, includes the role of being part of committees and as such, a confidentiality clause is included in the employment contract.
Employment Contract which stipulated duties and includes Committees, if applicable to the appointment and confidentiality clause. If in future, any external bodies or individuals are contracted to form part of the verification process, such bodies will sign a legally enforceable contract with a Confidentiality clause to ensure that this procedure is adhered to.
When aBEErate needs to make confidential information available to other bodies like SANAS, the measured entity will be informed of such activities prior to the information been given to such other bodies. Measured entities will be notified in writing, and should respond on the Consent Letter giving their permission.
